Join this workshop to learn how to set up your ChatGPT profile using a step-by-step guide that helps you customize your AI assistant for educational purposes. You'll receive hands-on experience tailoring ChatGPT to your teaching needs and explore how to build trustworthy AI lessons that foster creativity without cheating.  Learn how to use AI for group work, engagement, and ideating. During the AI Brainstorming Challenge, participants collaborate to design innovative lesson plans that incorporate AI ethically, discover how AI can create rubrics, and learn to craft effective and objective assessments with the help of AI tools. Small groups put theory into practice by creating AI-generated rubrics. Finally, participants delve into the ethical considerations and data privacy implications associated with using AI for student assessments.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Design assessment rubrics using generative AI tools.
  • Customize ChatGPT profiles for enhanced classroom interaction.
  • Collaborate to brainstorm and create lesson ideas that incorporate AI in an ethical manner.

Plans for Audience Participation and Interaction:

Discussion will include the use of, "poll everywhere" to solicit audience feedback, multiple breakout sessions, large group discussions, and sharing our plans with one another.

Certificate and CEUs for Virtual Workshops

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the workshop. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials. 

The duration of this workshop is three hours, which is equal to 0.3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation and refund requests, minus a $25 administrative fee, must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled event.  Refunds will not be given for no-shows. Substitutions are accepted at any time prior to the workshop by submitting a written request to Kelley Berley. The individual requesting the transfer is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with the transfer.
