To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials.

Dr. Vanessa Zamzow is an adjunct professor at Metropolitan Community College and Park University in Kansas City, Missouri, as well as a high school mathematics instructor. This is her 16th year in education. Dr. Zamzow began her career teaching at the elementary level and then went on to teach high school and at the college level. In addition to teaching, she has served as an administrator at the secondary level. Dr. Zamzow has extensive experience providing professional development and training in the areas of educational technology, effective instruction, and student engagement. She has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences and was honored in 2014 as the recipient of her district’s Teacher of the Year Award. In the fall of 2017, Dr. Zamzow was selected as the KPRS Greater Kansas City Favorite Teacher recipient and in the spring of 2020, she published the NISOD Innovation Abstracts “Equity in Distance Learning,” and was also a NISOD Excellence Award recipient.
Mrs. Somer Stuhlsatz has been teaching for 23 years and has experience teaching at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. She is currently a math instructor and education consultant. Mrs. Stuhlsatz has led professional development sessions in the area of student engagement at the local, state, and national level and has been awarded her district’s Star Teaching Award. Mrs. Stuhlsatz has experience teaching and leading future educators and also working with the AVID program where she assists in closing the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund requests, minus a $25 administrative fee, must be received no later than two weeks prior to the scheduled event. Refunds will not be given for no-shows. Substitutions are accepted at any time prior to the workshop by submitting a written request to learning@nisod.org. The individual requesting the transfer is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with the transfer.
