Description

The return to the classroom by both teachers and students, post pandemic, has brought a rise of challenges and dangers to educators that compound an already stressful career. Educators at every level have seen and report an increase of physical and mental abuse at their campuses at the hands of students, parents, and even other staff members. Join me in a candid conversation on the research surrounding this matter and what we all can do to ensure the safety of everyone on our campuses.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Know and understand the statistics of the origin of educator perceptions surrounding safety in the classroom.
  • Know and understand trauma, trauma triggers, burnout, and self-care.
  • Learn ways in which you can help promote a safe campus for all.

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with CEUs upon completion of the webinar. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the webinar evaluation to earn credentials.

The duration of this webinar is one hour, which is equal to 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Certificate, Digital Badge, and CEU

All webinar participants can obtain, at no additional cost:

  • A certificate that provides web-enabled, verifiable documentation of your professional learning experience.
  • CEUs, which are awarded by passing the post-webinar learning assessment with a score of 80% or better.
