Certificate and CEUs for Webinars
Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the webinar. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials.
The duration of this webinar is one hour, which is equal to 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Dr. Amanda Rosenzweig earned a Ph. D. in curriculum and instruction from the University of New Orleans in 2012, a M.S. in biology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and a B.A. in biology from William Woods University. Teaching at Delgado Community College (DCC) since 2003, she is a meritorious professor of biology. After five years as the college-wide biology department chair, Dr. Rosenzweig is now Assistant Dean of the School of STEM. In this role, she concurrently serves as the director of science teacher technology training at DCC, where she oversees the development of STEM resources that promote active student learning through assisting K -12 educators with professional development workshops. Her current roles at DCC include being a Canvas Learning Management System administrator, and she completed the Canvas Certified Technical Administrator program. Dr. Rosenzweig created and currently serves as the Teach and Learn/eProfessor facilitator, a five-course series on course development and instructional design. She has served as an instructional designer on grants for course design and delivery, like HyFlex.
Her passion for digital accessibility has led her to earn an Accessibility Badge from OLC and completion of many independent courses from Utah State University and other entities, such as Microsoft and CAST. She recently graduated with her Master’s Certificate in Accessibility Studies from Central Washington University, where she now teaches in the Program. Over the recent years, she graduated from the New Orleans Workforce Leadership Academy, Aspen Institute Class of 2019, the InnovATE Bio Leadership Institute, Human Anatomy and Physiology Society Leadership Institute, and National Science Foundation Advanced Technology Education Working Partners Project. She is an active advisory board member on numerous NSF grants and a CAST Workforce and Postsecondary National Faculty Member. In addition, she is a co-PI on a Board of Regents Enhancement grant and an NSF Bioindustrial manufacturer grant. Her enthusiasm and drive to ensure student success and progressive change are evidenced by the honor bestowed as the Seymour Weiss Excellence in Teaching Award recipient.
