Description

This webinar describes the creation of four regional Teaching and Learning Hubs in North Carolina designed to foster equitable student success through faculty-led communities of practice. Grounded in research and tailored to the needs of North Carolina community college educators, the goal of the Teaching and Learning Hubs is to complement individual college's teaching and learning efforts to support scalable, sustainable professional learning activities for full- and part-time faculty. The West Hub Teaching and Learning co-directors will share what the Teaching and Learning Hubs are, how they operate, and lessons learned from implementation.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how to create strategic planning initiatives around professional development in a teaching and learning network.
  • Apply learning to replicate a network within their individual state.
  • Create innovative strategies focused on launching a teaching and learning network.

Certificate and CEUs for Webinars

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the webinar. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials.

The duration of this webinar is one hour, which is equal to 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
