Certificate and CEUs for Webinars
Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the webinar. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials.
The duration of this webinar is one hour, which is equal to 0.1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Kris Tolman (she/her) is the Manager for Education Programming at NISOD and an adjunct professor for the Biology Department at Austin Community College (ACC). She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University and is currently working towards a Doctorate of Philosophy in Adult Education at Texas State University. She has led various service learning Initiatives including an Elementary School Health Education Outreach for a local elementary school serving minority students and the Tiny Earth Student Sourcing Antibiotic Discovery program through Wisconsin University.
Kris’s current research interests include barriers to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training, the intersection of Adult Development and Adult Learning, and Psychological Safety in the Classroom. Kris is passionate about student success and empowerment and has completed the Summer Institute on Active and Engaged Teaching, Teaching and Learning Academy, Quality Matters Certification, and facilitated workshops for student and faculty development, and has presented at the Student Leadership Conference for ACC.
