This innovative workshop is tailored for educators eager to revolutionize their teaching methodologies. The world of Artificial Intelligence should not be a scary one, but one we embrace as educators. We will explore simple strategies and tools designed to invigorate classroom dynamics. We will discover how AI can be seamlessly integrated to inspire motivation, foster creativity, and amplify student engagement. From personalized learning approaches to adaptive teaching techniques, you will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered solutions that cater to diverse learning styles, cultivate a culture of curiosity, and ignite a passion for learning. AI is redefining the art of teaching and using AI will help educators propel their classrooms into the future.

By the end of this workshop, participants will know or be able to:

  • Integrate AI into their curriculum with ease
  • Explain how to use AI and teach students how to use it without plagiarizing
  • Apply the strategies and exercises they get from the workshop across various subjects

Plans for Audience Participation and Interaction:

Participants will have activities that are group-centered. Participants will have exercises that will help them understand how to use AI in the classroom. Participants will get prompts and guides to help them bring creativity to the classroom which will increase motivation among students. Participants can expect to walk away with ideas, examples, prompts, and other innovation strategies that will transform their classrooms making their job easier and fun for the students.

 

Certificate and CEUs for In-person Workshops

Learners will have the option to earn a certificate of attendance or a certificate with Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon completion of the workshop. To earn a certificate with CEUs, the learner must successfully pass the learning assessment with a score of 80% or higher. All learners must complete the post-event evaluation to earn credentials. 

The duration of this workshop is four hours, which is equal to 0.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Marsha Lynn Hudson is a speaker, trainer, writer, and has worked in education for more than 30 years. She has taught at the K-8 level as well as the collegiate level, teaching at institutions such as the University of Phoenix, University of Houston-Downtown, and Kingwood College. She currently works as a professor of English at Wharton County Junior College. She received an education specialist degree from Walden University, a bachelor's degree in professional writing from the University of Houston, and a master's degree in literature from the University of Houston. She is also a digital marketer and brand specialist for UH-SBDC and has been with the SBDC since 2015. She teaches entrepreneurs and educators how to grow their brand with online marketing strategies without being overwhelmed. She has written several books, including Unleash Your Potential and Train Your Mind for Success. She is currently working on a forthcoming title, Discover Your Passion.

Policies

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation and refund requests, minus a $25 administrative fee, must be received no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled event.  Refunds will not be given for no-shows. Registrants who have an outstanding balance and do not attend the workshop are responsible for the $25 administrative fee. Substitutions are accepted at any time prior to the workshop by submitting a written request to learning@nisod.org. The individual requesting the transfer is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with the transfer.
